• Alcoholism: Advocate for 20 years with 60 year old male who suffered from alcoholism. Lived to be 80 years old and died of an unrelated illness. Services included medication, hospitalizations and counseling.
• Alzheimer: Advocate for client who succumbed to Alzheimer’s at age 88, managing her overall care, including finances, medical care, legal issues, insurance, end of life guidance and provided the highest quality of life.
• Breast Cancer: Served as my own advocate at Dana Farber when I was diagnosed with breast cancer 9 years ago, under the guidance of Dr. Judy Garber, Dana Farber and Brigham and Women Hospital.
• Childhood Leukemia: Advocate for client at Dana Farber and Children’s Hospital when he was 16 year old male was diagnosed with childhood leukemia (ALL).  He is now 35, married with two children.
• Elder Care: Worked with family whose elder parent was in a local nursing home, negotiating additional care, clarifying discharge plans, modifying at home lifestyle, investigating Medicare/Insurance coverage, etc.
• Melanoma: Advocate when client was diagnosed with melanoma 11 years ago. Under continued follow ups with Dr. Harley Hayne, Dana Farber and Brigham and Women Hospital.
• Ovarian Cancer: Advocate for women in her 40s who developed ovarian cancer. Worked with LA doctors on clinical trials but client succumbed after the third recurrence. Helped with quality of life issues and securing medical options.
• Parkinsonism, Acquired Dystonia and Movement Disorders: Advocacy included dealing with testicular cancer and working with doctors to understand an undefined form of dystonia for a 30 year old male. He lived indecently for 13 years. When he finally became a candidate for a brain stimulation implant, it this was negated by a fall which resulted in paralysis. Worked with The Neurological at Columbia Presbyterian, Neurology and Pharmacology at Jackson Memorial, University of Miami, Spaulding Rehabilitation Center in Boston and Massachusetts General Hospital. Provided medical guidance, housing, financial, legal and end of life support.
• Prostate Cancer: Advocate when 64 year old client was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2011. Under follow up with Dr. Tabatebeai at Mass General Hospital, set up biopsy, robotic surgery and worked with patient to resolve side effects of surgery. Patient has fully recovered and is cancer free.
• Spinal Cord Injury: Refered client to various resources that could provide support to their teenager who incurred a spinal cord injury during an accident.
